Campbell's Hillside Kennels ("we," "us," or "our") operates campbellshillsidekennels.com. This policy explains what information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it simple because what we do with your information is simple: we use it to talk with you about training your dog.
Information we collect
Information you give us
When you use the contact form, we collect what you type: your name, email address, phone number (optional), the program you're interested in (optional), and your message. When you call, email, or text us directly, we receive whatever information you choose to share, along with your phone number or email address.
Information collected automatically
To protect the contact form from abuse, our server briefly records a scrambled (hashed) version of your device's IP address when you submit the form; it is used only to limit repeated submissions and expires within about an hour. Like nearly every website, our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs (IP address, pages requested, timestamps) for security and troubleshooting.
What we don't collect
This site does not use advertising trackers, analytics services, or marketing cookies, and it does not require an account. We do not collect payment information through this website — enrollment and payment are handled directly with us.
How we use your information
- To respond to your inquiry and answer questions about our programs.
- To schedule evaluations, tours, drop-offs, and pick-ups.
- To provide training services and keep ordinary business records of our correspondence.
- To protect the website and our business from spam, abuse, and fraud.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making, and we do not send marketing emails unless you've specifically asked to hear from us.
How your information is shared
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Your information is shared only with the service providers that make this website and our email work — our web hosting provider and our email service, which transmit and store form submissions as ordinary email — and beyond that only if the law requires it (for example, a valid legal request) or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
If we enable a human-verification service (such as Cloudflare Turnstile) on the contact form in the future, that provider would process limited technical data (such as your IP address and a verification token) solely to distinguish people from bots, under its own privacy policy. This page will be updated if that happens.
Links to other sites
Our site links to our Instagram and Facebook pages and to The Dog House Podcast. Those platforms have their own privacy practices, which we don't control — check their policies if you have questions about how they handle your data.
How long we keep information
Contact-form submissions arrive as email and are kept as long as we reasonably need them to respond to you and maintain business records. The anti-spam rate-limit data expires automatically within about an hour of your submission.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us at any time to see, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. Email info@campbellshillsidekennels.com or call 205-233-2325 and we'll take care of it. Depending on where you live (for example, California or the EU/UK), you may have additional rights under local law; we honor verified requests regardless of where you're writing from.
Children's privacy
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has submitted information through our site, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, form submissions are transmitted to us over authenticated connections, and access to our email is restricted. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures appropriate to the small amount of information we handle.
Changes to this policy
If our practices change, we'll update this page and the effective date above. Meaningful changes will be noted plainly — we won't bury them.
